Assists higher level Road Techs in the repair and maintenance of roads and right-of-way's; digs ditches; rips asphalt, places asphalt; shovels, rakes, patches, fill cracks with crack-seal, and levels hot asphalt and cold-mix asphalt; cleans and installs culverts; removes debris from roadway and shoulders; prepares potholes, cracked, and broken pavement for patching; loads and unloads tools, equipment, and materials. Perform heavy manual labor, digging ditches, asphalt patching and paving, chip sealing, asphalt crack sealing, concrete placement, cleaning and installing culverts, cutting and burning brush and trees, spraying weeds, removing obstacles from roadway and adjacent areas, hand loading and unloading all types of materials into trucks.
