This formal structured new graduate residency program, through a series of training and working experience CHS will prepare the new graduate to successfully transition from student to confident working professional in their chosen career path of nursing. Facility: Lockport Memorial Hospital Shift: Shift 3 Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 1199 Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No Work Schedule: Nights with Weekend and Holiday Rotation Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am Summary: The Nurse Residency position offers training, education and professional development through a six (6) to twelve (12)-month transition to becoming an RN in the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Telemetry. The nurse resident systematically and continuously assists in the collection and assessment of data in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic care for the patient and/or family. He/she assist in performing all required elements of the nursing assessment including but not limited to physical examination, assessment of readiness to learn, psychosocial assessment, functional assessment and utilization of patient/family specific assessment scale as required. The Nurse Resident is an active member of the multidisciplinary team in assist in the collaboration in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway. The nurse resident considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering care. The nurse resident's decisions and actions on behalf of patients are determined in an ethical manner. Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed. The nurse resident assist in establishing goals and strategies for meeting the discharge or continued care needs of the patient, family, and/or other care provider. The nurse resident provides care in collaboration with other nursing staff members in accordance with nurse practice act and the professional nursing role. The nurse resident utilizes research findings in his/her practice. He/she demonstrates knowledge of and participates in improving organizational performance activities. The nurse resident acquires and maintains knowledge in nursing practice and assumes responsibility for the professional development of self. Nurse Resident Goals The Nurse Residency program is a series of learning and work experiences designed to assist nursing graduates as a transition into the first professional role and become leaders in patient care delivery. Transition experiences have an emphasis on the development of clinical and leadership skills for the novice/beginner nurse to be successful as a competent RN. Components of the program include in-depth development of resident leadership skills, analysis of evidence through review of the literature, applications of outcome data to patient care improvement, and professional development and coaching to clinical success. We provide flexible schedules for anyone looking to make some extra income. This entry level sales position is a great opportunity for anyone looking for flexible work or summer work. What we offer: <ul><li>Paid weekly - base or commissions. Our reps are paid $30.00 base-appt, that is not based on sales or results.
