Specific examples of duties include:General• Maintains and repairs wastewater treatment plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, engines, piping, valves, motors, motor controls, sensors, alarms, telemetry systems, lighting, metering devices, vehicles and generators according to established safety and procedural guidelines• Performs complex and routine preventive inspections• Fabricates and/or installs equipment• Interprets illustrated part breakdowns, blueprints, and sketches• Calibrates instrumentsElectrical / Electronic• Calibrates instruments• Troubleshoots portable AC generator voltage control circuits and automatic transfer switches• Diagnoses and evaluates circuit boards to determine if replacement is warranted• Troubleshoots or assists with maintenance and repair of motor control circuits and AC/DC electronic drives• Programs PLCs with ladder logic.• Troubleshoots HVAC ventilation and airflow to determine cause and the need for a certified contractor to perform repair or maintenanceMechanical• Performs basic troubleshooting of pumping systems to determine the root of the problem and affect needed repairs.•
