This includes obtaining vital signs, blood draws for various testing, point-of-care testing, counseling and education (under the direction of a licensed clinical staff member), referrals for needed services, TB testing, and medication follow-up. Under the direction of a licensed clinical staff member, the CMA assists the providers of a health care site with the facilitation of client visits and procedures, routine laboratory tests, medication delivery, and referrals.
