Student AffairsJob SummaryThe Graduate Assistant provides administrative and operational support for the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. This position assists with front office responsibilities including greeting and assisting guests, answering and directing phone calls, organizing and maintaining office files and materials, and supporting daily office operations.The Graduate Assistant gathers and compiles information for student organizations and provides regular status updates on specific accounts related to the Student Government Association (SGA), Freshman Forum (FF), and Greek organizations. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant may assist with planning, coordination, and on-site support for Greek Life activities, Freshman Forum SGA initiatives, University Activities events, and IMPACT New Student Orientation.This role is essential to ensuring efficient office operations, accurate record-keeping, and effective support for student engagement and leadership programs.Minimum Qualifications• Must be a current Troy University graduate student
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in spoken and written EnglishPlease note that Student positions are FICA-exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA-exempt status, you must be enrolled on a half-time basis for the Fall, Spring, or Summer.Preferred Qualifications• Skill in performing clerical functions
• Strong computer skillsWill this position require driving a personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.Work Hours
