In addition to academic responsibilities, teachers at AHS are expected to integrate faith-based principles and moral reasoning into classroom instruction where appropriate, serve as an example of Christian character and discipleship to students, support and uphold the spiritual mission of the school through daily interactions with students and colleagues, participate in school-wide devotionals, prayer, and other faith-centered activities, and respond thoughtfully to student questions related to faith, values, and moral decision-making in a manner consistent with the school's mission. Candidates should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and post assignments with clear instructions, models, and rubrics, maintain purposeful and effective classroom routines, communicate with parents and colleagues in ways that are timely, collaborative, precise, and positive, and monitor and report student progress clearly and consistently.
