Under direct supervision provides patients with food and nutrition services up to and including; working with patients on the room service process, passing and picking up patient trays, distributing between meal snacks to patients, providing pantry stocks to nursing units and acting as a liaison between the patient, Dietary and Nutrition and Nursing Services. • Demonstrate knowledge of safe chemical usage by identifying the location of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the usage of PPE • Demonstrate knowledge of the HACCP program to include the temperature danger zone, labeling and dating, and sanitation.
