Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, suctioning (ETT, NT), care of ventilated patients, arterial line management, management of dysrhythmias, central line care/management, titrating cardiac drips, titrating vasoactive drips, isolation precautions/PPE, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), continuous IV sedation, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. • Patient diagnoses include: GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, cardiac and respiratory arrest, overdose, suicide, CIWA/withdrawal patients, neurosurgical, surgical, post cardiac cath, end of life/comfort care, organ procurement, acute stroke, trauma, and targeted temperature management.
