Depending upon practice assignment and patient populations served, may perform following procedures or tests: mix, administer, and start IVs; give intramuscular injections/vaccinations; administer EKGs; administer and read PPDs; remove sutures; provide wound care/dressing; supervise cardiac stress testing -; administer echo contrast and agitated saline. Provides telephone or on-site clinical advice to patients regarding treatment of certain minor acute problems related to cardiac care, , following established telephone guidelines and protocols.
