Job Title: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years Neuro ICU experience preferred at a level one trauma facility License: KY or compact license required Certifications: EKG, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with ICP and lumbar drains - Experience with charting in EPIC preferred - Ability to float to other units - Availability to work weekends and holidays - Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted Description: 2 years Neuro ICU experience preferred at a level one trauma facility. Additional competencies include care of ventilated patients, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, lumbar drains, management of dysrhythmias, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury.
