May perform any of the following: a) performs general grounds keeping; manual labor in the maintenance of the exterior of lift stations and various properties including, but not limited to: digging, shoveling, sweeping, mowing grass, trimming trees and shrubs, installing landscape materials, and removing weeds and debris; b) assists with clean-up operations after hurricanes and other inclement weather; c) sweeps streets; d) obtains water samples; e) puts up signs and safety equipment, such as set cones, flagging, etc. Depending on assigned area, may be exposed to construction, water/wastewater, and other site hazards including, but not limited to, bright/dim lights, dust/pollen, intense noise, vibration, fumes/noxious odors, toxic/caustic chemicals, electrical shock, heights of 70 feet or more, disease/pathogens, traffic, and moving machinery.
