Department Specifics: Currently seeking Level III Trauma designation, Primary Stroke Center, Primary Chest Pain Center, wonderful EMS partnership, Radiology with CT and Sono within ED, Self-Scheduling with voluntary on call, Certified Emergency Nurse fees paid, Evidence Based Practice and Process Improvement projects ongoing, Trauma training, Express Care/fast track with lower acuity/clinic type patients, Staff rotate to various areas based on experience and training. In 2022, BSWMCI achieved its third accreditation in the Magnet Recognition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer and was once again voted Best Medical Center by the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.
