Skills in arterial line management, care of patients on ECMO, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management, isolation precautions/PPE, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, nurse-driven ECMO protocols, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Nurses will be expected to have experience with managing complex cardiac care and relevant equipment.
