The research areas of interest include but are not exclusive to: (1) vaccine development to modulate autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, (2) gene editing and gene therapy targeted at immunomodulation, (3) microbiome genome/epigenome engineering to promote control of the immune system, (4) biomaterial-mediated approaches to facilitate immune regulation, and (5) general plans related to multiple systems biology tools, such as proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and immunology. This resource is a recognized national leader in promoting translational research and supporting collaborative translational research projects to improve patient care and accelerate the delivery of healthcare technology from academia to the marketplace.
