Cleans common areas, classrooms, hallways, and stairwells; Moves and spot-cleans furniture; Shampoos carpets and strips, waxes, and buffs floors; Cleans offices and classrooms, including desks, dusting window ledges and glass, furniture, doors, vacuuming, whiteboards, and emptying trash; Cleans and restocks bathrooms, removes trash (daily), and reports all safety matters to the appropriate supervisor; Communicates to the Lead Housekeeper the need for additional cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate levels in the respective housekeeping closets; Establishes and maintains a positive, effective working relationship with members of the department and the campus community; Performs effectively in a service environment; Follows all State, University, and departmental policies, procedures, and practices; Performs other related duties as assigned; May be required to work additional hours in the event of an emergency.
