Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Tools/Equipment Used: Mechanical and electrical testing equipment, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, district vehicle Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting Motion: Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ladders, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion and extension, overhead reaching, visual acuity, driving Lifting: Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance and more than 30 pounds with assistance Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, electrical hazards; work irregular and prolonged hours; districtwide travel Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions interruptions. Qualifications: Education/Certification High school diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's license Reclamation and Recycling Services Technician and Reclamation and Recycling Certification Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Ability to use hand and power tools Experience: One year experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Major Responsibilities and Duties: Maintenance and Repair Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including rooftop equipment.
