Your future begins here!SUMMARY/OBJECTIVESIt is the responsibility of the Govt Lending Annual Servicing Manager I to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, requesting financial statements and completing annual servicing on the Banks existing Government Loan Portfolio. This position is an entry level position into the Government Lending Annual Servicing Manager (GLASM) role. Additional duties may include assisting with loan servicing action requests and completing site visits as deemed appropriate.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:Annual Servicing Duties<ul><li>Request financial and other ancillary information from the Relationship Manager or Borrower directly to update the banks credit files.</li><li>Spread the updated business and personal financial statements and completing a stand-alone and/or global cash flow analysis.</li><li>Prepare the annual servicing memo per established SSB guidelines. Route the completed annual servicing memo along with the original credit approval memo from SSB or the legacy institution (only in instances where it is the initial annual servicing for the loan) to the SBA Credit Administrator.</li><li>Follow up on questions and open items as needed with the SBA Servicing Manager, Relationship Manager, Borrower and or the SBA Credit Administrator.</li><li>Submit risk rating changes via the current tracking system as adopted by the bank upon completion of the annual servicing.</li></ul>Administrative Duties<ul><li>Weekly review of SBA 7(A) loan past due report with the SBA Credit Administrator to determine if certain loan relationships should be reviewed sooner than scheduled.</li><li>Maintain a month by month work log for SBA Credit Administrator and Senior Management review.</li><li>Update the SBA Credit Administrator on SSB Annual Servicing Metric compliance %.</li><li>Assist the SSB SBA Administrative Team with credit related aspects of servicing memos on an as needed basis.</li><li>1502 report reconciliation to make sure all loans that need to be serviced are on the master list.</li><li>CLAR loans completed twice a year.</li><li>May also be required to complete site visits to Borrowers place of business as needed.</li><li>Ensure that the Banks policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with.</li><li>Provide assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions.</li><li>Be involved in performing marketing endeavors/efforts.</li><li>Continuously update skills by participating in professional training.</li><li>Seek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the Bank.</li><li>All other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by management.</li></ul>OTHER DUTIES<ul><li>Accepts other duties as assigned.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li></ul>COMPETENCIES<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of the SBA SOPs.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.</li><li>Strong organization skills.</li><li>High attention to detail.</li><li>Cooperative and willing to assist coworkers and customers on a regular basis.</li><li>Effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to others talk (without interruption), understand them, and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made by others.</li><li>Possesses multi-tasking skills and be able to function well under pressure.</li><li>Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond to customer and coworker concerns regularly.</li><li>Patience and willingness to help others in solving problems while maintaining a positive attitude.</li></ul>Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements<ul><li>Education: A bachelors degree in business, finance, or accounting is recommended in order to have a good understanding of financial statements and to make industry evaluations.</li><li>Experience: At least one year of experience in related field.</li><li>Certifications/Specific Knowledge:</li><li>Knowledge of personal computer, Windows and Microsoft software applications is required.</li><li>Must be able to prepare documents and compose business letters and memorandums.</li><li>Must have good knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.</li><li>Requires knowledge of office practices, procedures and general office machines.</li></ul>TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES<ul><li>South State Bank credit policies, procedures and underwriting standards.</li><li>Annual regulatory and compliance training.</li><li>Additional training may be required, as needed.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching.WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is located inside an cooled and heated facility with ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks. Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.
