Conducts visual inspections of existing properties and grounds to determine compliance with appropriate codes and ordinances; Completes inspection forms; Conducts follow-up inspections to determine if violations have been corrected; Explains code violations and purpose of Property Conservation Code to owners or residents; Conducts field surveys of a specific area to identify and cite exterior code violations; Conducts Lead Dust Wipe Tests; Conducts Quality Housing Inspections as part of Monroe county Proactive Property Management Program; Uses the Spanish language as needed while in the performance of job duties. Performing trades work tasks in carpentry, heating, plumbing, electrical, drywall, roofing, or Masonry; Estimating, drafting, or inspecting building construction; Public contact work which involved providing complex information to the public, in areas such as, but not limited to, inspecting for code compliance in housing, construction, or refuse collection; OR.
