a) Monitors and inspects installation of traffic signals, computerized traffic signal controllers, solid state components, switching equipment, vehicle detectors, emergency preemption devices, time clocks, wiring, conduits, other traffic signal related equipment (including digital and analog), and street lighting systems to ensure that the construction installation is done per the plans and specifications and LACO Traffic Signal Control Equipment Specifications, and that all code requirements are met while using safe work practices. e) Respond to complaints and inquiries from the public, elected officials, other agencies, Construction Division staff and other affected Department Divisions regarding traffic signal problems.
