Your Job Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Certified Welding Inspector /Quality Assurance/Quality Control for our Clatskanie, OR location, starting pay is $55.42/hour . To learn more about our variety of products visit, www.gp.com .What You Will Do <ul><li> Accurately and effectively generate, distribute, and maintain maintenance records and reports in support of regulatory and company requirements </li><li> Perform QA/QC of all contractor work on and off-site within their skillset </li><li> Utilize subject matter expertise to train and develop mill employees on safe, and quality welding processes </li><li> Maintain on-going skills enhancement such as staying current with emerging technology, certifications, and expanding knowledge base with on-going education </li><li> Act as a Georgia-Pacific Representative in the management of contractors, up to and including, developing work scopes, acquiring competitive bids, and writing contracts as defined by management </li><li> Support the work order planning and BOM development and updating processes as defined by management </li><li> Practice the MBM® guiding principles to create continuous transformation and positive growth </li></ul>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) <ul><li> High School Diploma or GED </li><li> Experience working with computers </li><li> Certified Welding Inspector Certification (CWI) through an accredited institution such as American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent and 2 years of inspection experience </li><li> Experience training/mentoring other craft employees within their own subject matter expertise </li></ul>What Will Put You Ahead <ul><li> Certified Welder through accredited institution such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) or equivalent in positions up to 6G or BPVC utilizing TIG, MIG or ARC </li><li> Advanced degree/certification in engineering, electrical/mechanical systems, paper manufacturing, or reliability </li><li> Experience in Work Order Planning, and BOM updates and development in SAP </li><li> 2 or more years of experience in the pulp and paper industry </li><li> 1 or more years of experience in maintenance or reliability </li><li> Experience with basic mechanical maintenance and/or machine troubleshooting </li></ul>At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
