Building Inspectors are considered highly skilled in performing inspections of both commercial and residential projects, enforcing codes and regulations in a broadrange of building with varied relevant code sets.
A basic understanding and delivery of the following is required: VIN recognition; proper notation of all options and equipment in vehicle; proper odometer reading and operable function; identification of damage, missing parts, and major mechanical problems; estimating repair cost pricing; recommending labor actions, severity, pricing; identifying value added options; identifying basic mechanical conditions; identifying common wear and tear; evaluating fluid levels; documenting vehicle condition in writing by completing appropriate Vehicle Condition Report; completing inspections process and data entry in appropriate time frames; collecting digital photos per specific criteria guidelines; test driving (when applicable); accurately determining grade using Manheim's Grading Scale (when applicable). Job Responsibilities: Verify vehicle information based on work order information - identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt (i.e., interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment), noting any damage or repair to frame/paint, engine noise, AC/heater operation, radio, tire condition, etc.

p>Job Summary: Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Sprinkler, Clean Agent and Special Hazard Fire Protection Systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine service and maintenance tasks on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and foam systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Reports and pictures recorded onto field computer files for submittal to Pima County for review; Verification of compliance for project material certification prior to placement;
Supervise Consultant Inspectors when needed;
Resolve issues with the Contractor over project work or escalate issues as appropriate for larger problems;
Attend project weekly meetings, oversee materials and labor quantities for force account sheets and change orders;
Monthly review and acceptance of project pay item quantities for monthly pay estimate approval by Project Manager;
Review and approve traffic control plans (ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification will be required, but PCDOT will send the successful applicant to training if they do not already have this certification).

Two years of experience with Pima County in a Public Works Construction Inspector I, Building Inspector I or similar level position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment which is responsible for inspecting public works construction projects.
