MGB is an integrated academic healthcare system, which includes its two founding academic medical centers, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), three nationally renowned specialty hospitals, McLean (Psychiatry), Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and network, and Mass Eye and Ear, seven community hospitals, multiple ambulatory sites, physician groups, an insurance company, home-based care, and long-term care services. The Department is internationally recognized for excellence across the full spectrum of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, with nationally leading programs in head and neck oncology, hearing sciences, otology and neurotology, rhinology and skull base surgery, laryngology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, sleep surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and related subspecialties.
