2+ years of relevant experience in purchasing (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered), Understanding of Legal and Commercial Terms and Conditions with the ability to negotiate and assess risk Project management skills Understand basic software concepts Capability to function independently and navigate ambiguous situations Proficient communication skills High level knowledge (or ability to learn) about items being purchased Analytical skills, including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and prioritize requests Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Research) SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems Must be willing to travel 5% of the time domestically + Internationally Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience with IT, Technology or Software. • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally, internally and externally, while building strong relationships • Partner with IT and Business on strategy of supply base, technologies, products used, future products, technology roadmap, and viable suppliers for technology requirements.
