This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to learn hands-on techniques, understand industry standards, and gain practical experience alongside skilled professionals. Interns will be exposed to a variety of work processes and participate in real-world manufacturing projects. Start Building Your American Dream With a Company That Builds America.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist experienced skilled trades teams in a fast-paced advanced steel fabrication environment</li><li>Gain exposure to structural and precision steel fabrication processes and shop operations</li><li>Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and in accordance with shop standards</li><li>Learn proper tools, materials, and safety practices</li><li>Support ongoing manufacturing projects</li><li>Attend training sessions focused on fabrication techniques and industry best practices</li><li>Learn proper material handling, finishing, and quality inspection practices</li><li>Document work processes and maintain accurate records as required</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>18 years of age or older</li><li>Commitment to complying with workplace safety and company policies</li><li>Strong willingness to learn and take initiative</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality - consistent presence is essential to supporting the team and maximizing hands-on learning opportunities</li><li>Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening prior to start date</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Trade preparatory classes or welding experience</li><li>Mathematics and/or Drafting classes</li><li>Good communication and problem-solving skills</li></ul>Skills & Competencies:<ul><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Manual dexterity</li><li>Technical aptitude</li><li>Time management</li><li>Adaptability</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Safety awareness</li></ul>Physical Demands:<ul><li>Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet.</li><li>Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet.</li><li>Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.</li></ul>This role is classified as safety sensitive.
