Meharry's Office of Memphis Programs is seeking a contingent worker to oversee their summer high school internship program for students in Memphis, Tennessee. They will report to the Executive Assistant (EA) of the Office of Memphis Programs and indirectly to the office's Assistant Vice President (AVP). Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) • Implement and manage the internship curriculum and schedule, supervise the students, accompany them to off-site experiences, assist with their educational and development activities, provide guidance for their individual and/or group projects, develop, publish, retrieve and analyze surveys • Work as a liaison with parents/guardians, campus staff and administration and external partners • Maintain confidential information, collect required data and assist with report development • Arrange for the students' daily meals, monitor attendance, prepare audio-visual equipment for virtual discussions and obtain photos/videos of the interns and their activities • Assist with the organization and implementation of the opening and closing ceremonies • Carry out other duties as assigned • Provide weekly, and other indicated reports, to the EA Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Possess the ability and desire to work with high school students • Demonstrate familiarity with Emotional Intelligence • Ability to manage and complete time-sensitive tasks • Must exhibit diplomacy, tact and exceptional communication skills • Possess analytical and time management skills • Possess strong organizational and planning skills • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs • Ability to safeguard confidential information • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, stakeholders and students. • Ability to operate A/V equipment Education and Experience: College degree or currently enrolled and completed at least three years of undergraduate education. Prior relevant experience in secondary education is favorable, and prior experience working with high school students is preferred. Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands: • Usual classroom, hospital and kitchen environments • Manual dexterity • Visual and auditory acuity • Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Our integrated due diligence approach combines our deep operational, functional and industry expertise with Big Four quality financial accounting and tax services to drive value throughout the investment lifecycle.Responsibilities include: <ul><li>Assist with core financial due diligence by helping to identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess the strengths and weaknesses of businesses against industry benchmarks, and aid in theevaluation of potential transactions in the context of client investment strategies.</li><li>Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and key operational data.</li><li>Synthesize and convert this data into meaningful information used to make observations, support discussions with target management and drive conclusions.</li><li>Assess the quality of the target company's reported earnings, net assets and cash flows.</li><li>After investigative analysis, assist in the construction of deal-oriented reports and presentations for clients that highlight the key financial, commercial, and other findings facing investments and the drivers behind maintainable profits and cash flows.
