Operates county delivery vehicles, utilizes various types of equipment, including but not limited to, office equipment, pallet jacks, hand trucks, push carts, Hilo. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Performs activities essential to the efficient functioning of the warehouse, including but not limited to, make deliveries to and collect returns from various locations and vendors.
Performs robust and hands-on inventory reviews to include stockouts and items at risk of stockouts, inventory optimization, ABC classifications, forecasting demand based on planned activities or seasonality, supplier stocking programs such as VMI and Consignment opportunities, unfulfilled or canceled work order reservations and affected inventories, surplus stock, and obsolete stock. The Inventory Controller acts as the primary interface between Maintenance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability, inventory, and replenishment decisions are aligned with equipment criticality, lead time risk, supplier capability, and site execution priorities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually working inside; however, they will occasionally be outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing such tasks as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee is required to be able to talk and hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The Inventory Control Specialist (Distribution Center) is responsible for inventory variances in the Distribution Center and will interact daily with supervisors and managers to correct gaps in inventory process or storage. These duties include but are not limited to Cycle, quality and accuracy of physical inventory storage, quarantine or other segregation of inventory, return-to-vendor processing, and product/bin labeling, zoning, and slotting.
