Coordinate with the City's business services program and the Los Angeles Business Assistance Program (LABAP) to connect employers with available resources, including a directory of business services, job applicant database access, labor market information, workplace-based training (OJT and customized training), tax credit and licensing information, and referrals to business development networks such as the U.S. Small Business Administration, Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation, Valley Economic Development Corporation, and local chambers of commerce. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Business Services Representative will: Conduct outreach and marketing to local businesses, public schools, community colleges, community-based organizations, and growth-sector industries (Healthcare and Green) in the Downtown/Pico Union community to identify short- and long-term business service and workforce needs, and to build long-term working relationships.
