Common patient diagnoses include vented patients, cardiac post-PCI, impella, IABP, stroke with TNK, targeted temperature management (TTM) with Zoll cooling/thermoguard, vascular, traumas, sepsis, OD, abdominal trauma and surgical, and CRRT. The unit is supported by an intensivist seven days a week with eICU camera and screen coverage for nighttime calls, a 24/7 in-house hospitalist, and respiratory therapy staff available in the unit around the clock.
