Additional Information: The unit provides care for patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions, including post-cardiac catheterization care, pre-coronary artery bypass grafting care, chest pain, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, diabetes, dialysis needs, altered mental status, nephrology and hematology conditions, wounds, and overflow stroke patients. Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; current nursing license; at least 1 year of experience in telemetry, step-down, or intermediate-care nursing; substantial cardiac nursing experience; experience managing titratable drips; strong communication, teamwork, and work-ethic skills.
