Lab Technician The Lab Technician assists and supports research laboratory operations through daily housekeeping of the laboratories including hand washing, cleaning, drying, and storing of glassware; waste removal and disposal; keeping lab chemical inventory updated; maintaining laboratory stock supplies; working to ensure all the laboratories comply with safety and regulatory rules; assisting in lab building preventative maintenance duties; receiving supplies and chemicals, etc. Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about laboratory locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically, manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods.
