Demonstrates proficiency by receiving acceptable performance of internal and external proficiency supplies, Participates in the evaluation and correlation of new procedures and instrumentation; performs/documents maintenance according to schedule defined at each bench assignment; recognizes instrumentation failure and notifies Section Supervisor when additional action is required, Performs routine/complex analytical tests on blood, urine, body fluids and other ordered testing procedure accurately, maintains equipment/instrument and perform minor troubleshooting, as necessary, Recognizes results that need to be brought to the attention of the Section supervisor, Manager and/or Pathologist, Schedule. Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or related science, Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques, which would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program, Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology, such as ASCP preferred, Successful completion of all Orientation Programs, Work Environment and Hazards.
