This is a full-time, hourly position averaging 40 hours per week.This position will be responsible for sample handling, reagent preparations, laboratory maintenance and assisting staff with routine water quality extractions, adhering to department's daily QA/QC requirements, as well as supporting other laboratory needs that may arise. The work schedule may require evenings and/or weekends and the candidate must be able to work overtime on short same-day notice. Previous experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support analytical staff with accurate weighing, pipetting skills, preparation of volumetric reagents and standards, labeling, and glass washing.</li><li>Input of data into corporate database</li><li>Clearly and accurately documenting data</li><li>Cleaning and maintaining specific laboratory supplies, instruments and laboratory areas</li><li>Following safe work practices and adhering to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner</li><li>Additional Duties as assigned</li></ul>Role is M-F, 8am-5pm, with additional hours as needed.Basic Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred, but not required; equivalent lab experience may substitute for a degree</li><li>Computer skills, including Microsoft Word</li><li>Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship</li></ul>Ideal Candidates:<ul><li>Will be self-motivated with an understanding of basic laboratory practices related to chemical and physical testing of water samples or applicable fields</li><li>Will have excellent documentation and communication skills in Microsoft Word, Excel is preferred</li><li>Will have previous lab experience</li><li>Will have the ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment</li></ul>Pay range: $18-20/hourPlease note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work. Receives and processes specimens, examines specimens and records test results. Analyzes results using knowledge of test principles and clinical significance. Analyzes test quality per established performance standards.
