Performs administrative work associated with lab processes, this includes but is not limited to maintaining patient and laboratory records, providing coding with laboratory information to code visit, performs annual laboratory competency training for the nursing staff per established laboratory and accreditation guidelines if CLIA eligible. Performs all the necessary steps in processing specimens which includes labeling, centrifugation, testing, storage, and sending out specimens to reference laboratory.
