Possess the skills required for proper specimen collection, including patient preparation, if applicable, labeling, and handling, preservation or fixation, processing or preparation, transportation and storage of specimens. Follow all Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements (CLIA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) in order to provide accurate patient results, safe working environment and carries out these responsibilities without constant oversight.
