Basic Requirement for Community Planning 0020 Series: A. Degree: Bachelors degree (or higher degree) in community planning; or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional economic analysis, and development finance. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting all of the following: 1) lead an interdisciplinary team of professionals through all phases of project execution (initiation, planning, execution and control and closing); 2) communicate with local sponsors, other state or local agencies and/or general public on project related issues; and 3) resolve project issues, which may include the ability to develop schedules, scope of work, budgets, and/or project management plans which lay the framework for project execution.
