Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of ornamental horticulture, arboriculture, pest control and safety practices; Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; Ability to operate a computer; Working knowledge of City supported databases, work order systems, spreadsheets, and word processing applications. REQUIREMENTS TO FILE: A minimum of three (3) years of paid, full-time equivalent experience equivalent to the job duties in any one of the following positions: Gardener, Park Maintenance Supervisor, Power Equipment Repair Mechanic, Equipment Operator, Senior Equipment Operator, and/or Tree Trimmer, including one year in a lead or supervisory capacity, is required.
