This position performs basic tasks without supervision and supports the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment as well as the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.\n \n\n \nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\n Execute work according to site-specific details and client requests\n \n\n Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower\n \n\n Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches\n \n\n Plant and maintain flower beds\n \n\n Prepare soil, install, and maintain seasonal color\n \n\n Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects\n \n\n Utilize proper weed control methods\n \n\n Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris onto the turf before mowing.\n (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)\n \n\n Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)\n \n\n Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)\n \n\n Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.\n \n\n Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).\n
