PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates District's student and school safety program, including but not limited to bullying and violence prevention, intervention, and response programs, conflict management, gang risk intervention, hate-violence motivated behavior, and campus supervisionReviews and analyzes school safety data, including but not limited to data from student and staff surveys, school discipline, threat assessments, law enforcement and CALPADSCoordinates District's emergency/disaster preparedness and response, school safety, security, and access procedures; ensures District compliance with applicable lawsDevelops and provides professional development/training regarding active supervision, bullying and violence prevention, intervention, and response, implementation of a school safety plan, safe school strategies, crisis response, and safety exercisesCollaborates with administrators, safety officials, campus supervisors, cafeteria playground activity leaders, parents, and students, law enforcement, and other agencies and organizations regarding student and safety issues, and information managementCoordinates professional development and collaboration for cafeteria playground activity leaders and campus supervisorsCommunicates with employees, parents, and community members regarding student and school safety and climateAttends relevant meetings and conferences, including courses by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to maintain current knowledge of applicable student and school safety and security laws and proceduresMaintains records, and prepares and submits reports as required by law and as directed; applies for related grant/funding opportunitiesModels personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountabilityPerforms other related duties as assigned TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: $ 127,352 - $155,378 Annually, 223 days (max salary includes longevity & education stipends) EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicableNEW PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES AND PERMANENT EMPLOYEES WHO BECOME PROBATIONARY UPON RECLASSIFICATION: A new employee, or a permanent employee who is changed to a new classification, shall serve a probationary period, which shall not exceed six (6) months of duty time exclusive of leaves of absence or other absences.
