This role involves designing, reviewing, and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and water-based systems for industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation controls, experience with tools like AutoCAD and ePlan, and a passion for delivering efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions.Key Responsibilities:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Support job projects from inception through completion.</li><li>Organize and manage all designated engineering documents including concepts, proposals, layouts, and detailed designs.</li><li>Interface with customers and take/maintain minutes during meetings.</li><li>Review all drawings prior to release to ensure project compliance.</li><li>Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective design solutions.</li><li>Ensure engineering compliance with all customer and industry specifications.</li><li>Manage design revisions and create change documentation for estimating.</li><li>Assist the proposal department with estimates and conceptual designs for new projects.</li><li>Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.</li><li>Support and participate in continuous improvement and quality systems.</li><li>Maintain regular and predictable attendance.</li></ul>Experience and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Frequently required to sit, stand, and use hands.</li><li>Occasionally required to talk, hear, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.</li><li>Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Moderate noise level.</li><li>Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.</li></ul>Education Requirements<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or</li><li>Eight or more years of related experience/training; or</li><li>Equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Preferred: Bachelors degree in EE or CS.</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Strong ability to read/interpret safety rules, technical manuals, and procedures.</li><li>Able to write routine reports and communicate effectively with teams and customers.</li><li>Proficient in mathematical concepts including geometry, algebra, percentages, and volume.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills using written, oral, or diagram instructions.</li></ul>Other Information<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Must have experience in automation fluid systems design.</li><li>Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control components and their application in industrial automation.</li><li>Ability to size valves, tubing, and fittings for pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders and actuators.</li><li>Capable of performing engineering calculations for circuit designs.</li><li>Proficiency in ePlan and AutoCAD.</li><li>Familiarity with Festo and Parker product lines.</li><li>Primary responsibilities include following up on material orders and providing floor support; much of the design work is already completed</li></ul>#gbPandoLogic.
