HOUR

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegal team with administrative and case management tasks.
 
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional, deadline-driven environment and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly.
 
Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage attorney and staff calendars, including scheduling hearings, client meetings, mediations, consultations, and deadlines</li><li>Answer phones and professionally communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel</li><li>Assist paralegals and attorneys with administrative case support</li><li>Prepare, scan, organize, and upload legal documents into case management software</li><li>File pleadings and documents with Texas e-filing systems and maintain filing records</li><li>Handle incoming and outgoing mail, document processing, and office correspondence</li><li>Create and maintain organized digital and physical case files</li><li>Assist with client intake and gathering necessary case documentation</li><li>Generate invoices, assist with billing, payment tracking, and client account follow-up</li><li>Coordinate document execution, signatures, and notarization when needed</li><li>Maintain office organization and assist with general administrative duties as assigned</li></ul> 
Qualifications: <ul><li>Prior experience in a law office preferred (family law or litigation experience a plus)</li><li>Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively</li><li>Professional written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Comfortable working with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office</li><li>Experience with e-filing, MyCase, billing software, or case management platforms preferred</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li><li>Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented attitude</li><li>Familiarity with Texas court filing procedures</li><li> Scheduling experience for court hearings and legal calendars</li><li>Experience with client communication in high-conflict matters</li><li>Spanish bilingual</li></ul> 
Compensation: <ul><li>Range is from $15-$18/hour, depending on experience</li></ul>
