	</li><li>Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and arrange travel logistics for attorneys.
	</li><li>Maintain client files, handle document organization, and ensure records are complete and accessible.
	</li><li>Enter time, assist with billing processes, and support expense tracking and reimbursements.
	</li><li>Conduct conflict checks and assist with opening new client matters.
	</li><li>Communicate with clients and internal teams while managing multiple active case priorities.

<h2>Job Description</h2>The Paralegal is responsible for performing a variety of functions including case, statutory and common law, and judicial and quasi-judicial procedures and the rules of evidence. Essential Functions:<ul><li>Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits a variety of documents.</li><li>Prepares legal files and subpoenas for Solicitors.</li><li>Obtains criminal histories, reports, statements, photos, and videos from law enforcement agencies.</li><li>Enters all information, documents, photos, and videos into case management system.</li><li>Schedules evaluations with South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) and Department of Mental Health (DMH) for defendants.</li><li>Prepares reports from evaluations.</li><li>Files and tracks restraining orders.</li><li>Organizes supporting documents, exhibits, and evidence.</li><li>Performs research according to office policy and precedent.</li><li>Interacts, communicates and provides assistance to various individuals and groups including immediate supervisor, co-workers, Assistant Solicitors, Victims, Public Defenders, other County employees, Law Enforcement Agencies, and defense attorneys.</li></ul>Non-Essential Functions:<ul><li>May assist new employees in operation of Case Management system, indictment preparation, Rule 5 Response as well as everyday operations.</li><li>Performs all other related duties as required. </li></ul>Qualifications: Education and Work Experience<ul><li>Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies required. </li><li>Must have general knowledge of state, county, and/or local governments with specific knowledge of General Sessions, Common Pleas Court and Family Court.</li></ul>Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
