You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, that demonstrates the following: 1. initiating and conducting objective analysis of policy issues and/or legislation, including authorization or appropriations matters, and synthesizing information from a wide range of sources into analytical products that support leadership decision-making; 2. collaborating across organizational or interagency teams to facilitate resolution of conflicting views; and 3. communicating complex issues effectively, both orally and in writing, to produce clear, concise, and timely products for senior officials and stakeholders. You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, that demonstrates the following: 1. performing objective analysis of policy issues and/or legislation, including authorization or appropriations matters, and synthesizing information from multiple sources into clear, concise analytical products; 2. collaborating across organizational or interagency teams to facilitate resolution of conflicting views; and 3. communicating issues effectively, both orally and in writing, to develop clear, accurate, and timely products for a variety of audiences.
