As an MA/LPN/RN Family Practice, you need to know how to: Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections. Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e., IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, and circumcisions.
