Requirements: Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado, required; Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE or BSc Civil Engineering), required; A strong work ethic and proven case management skills; Excellent communication and analytical skills; Exceptional research and writing skills; Ability to travel; Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook; Interviewing and meeting with client representatives; Direct experience/interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy; Responsibility for handling own files/matters; Taking and defending fact and expert depositions; Expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures and reporting; Experience with all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation; Experience with all facets of pre-trial motions; Experience with large exposure cases, multi-party litigation, complex construction, and design matters; Experience with large document production and database matters; First chair mediation experience, preferred; Management and delegation of work to paralegals; First chair trial/arbitration experience, preferred; Construction contract drafting and negotiation, preferred; Schedule and payment claim experience, preferred; Marketing and business development interest, and; Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations, preferred.
