The individual will have three primary responsibilities: (1) create and sustain congregational and other public-facing networks through which individuals and organizations can share resources, collaborate on educational initiatives, and come together to participate in programs and events through The Candler Foundry; (2) oversee and set vision for the Foundry's Courses in the Community program, Leadership Collaborative workshops, and Unstuck discernment resources; (3) collaborate with The Candler Foundry team in imagining new initiatives, resources, events, and partnerships designed to make theological exploration more accessible and engaging for public audiences. Working within The Candler Foundry at Emory's Candler School of Theology, the Assistant Director of Community Learning and Partnerships cultivates rich and durable relationships with a diverse range of congregations, community groups, and other institutions (e.g., libraries, museums, non-profits, faith-based start-ups, businesses, etc.) for the purpose of fostering new pathways for theological education beyond Candler's degree programs.
