Knowledge and skills in the following areas: nursing care, psychiatric illnesses, dynamics of interpersonal relationships, nursing process, physical and psychological assessment skills, treatment planning, case management, basic pharmacology, administration of medication, operation of routine medical equipment, crisis intervention techniques and emergency care. Provides and directs physical and mental health care of patients located primarily on the inpatient unit but must be flexible to the needs of HCI including working in other areas of the organization such as Vigo County Outpatient.
