The Lead Clinician is responsible for ensuring that the services delivered to patients are done so in a manner clinically appropriate to the patient's individualized treatment plan, as well as for providing direct treatment activities to the patient, which may include individual, family, group or couples therapy, treatment planning/review, crisis intervention, and assessment for most appropriate levels of care. The Lead Clinician is also responsible for providing case management activities including discharge planning, referrals to other services, collaborating with the attending physician, nurse and other staff, arranging appointments, conducting utilization reviews, and coordinating aftercare services.
