Schedule Swing ShiftThe ideal candidate will have Extensive experience as a CNC Machinist Precision Machinist Strong expertise in CNC machine setup and operation Ability to hold tight tolerances on complex components Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation Experience with cutting tools feedsspeeds and machining parameters Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality control Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally High School diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills Experience with 5-axis CNC machining Swiss lathe and millturn experience CNC programming or CAM software experience Familiarity with CAD solid modeling Advanced metrology experience CMM optical inspection Tool grinding or custom tooling experience Experience supporting NPI New Product Introduction Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experiencePay Rate31.00 - 33.33 per hourPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc. Volt is immediately hiring a CNC Machinist 5-Axis Swiss Lathe Precision Machining in Santa Rosa CA.As a CNC Machinistyou will Develop and maintain precision machining processes for complex parts Set up and operate CNC machines including Swiss-style lathes Millturn centers 3-axis 4-axis and 5-axis milling machines Develop refine and sustain precision machining processes Support New Product Introduction NPI and transition to production Collaborate with engineering teams on Design for Manufacturability DFM Ensure process stability repeatability and yield performance Interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Perform precision measurement and inspection using Micrometers bore gauges indicators height gauges and CMM Troubleshoot machining issues surface finish chatter tool wear dimensional variation Drive continuous improvement in tooling fixturing and cycle time optimization Maintain detailed documentation of setups tooling strategies and process changesThis is a full-time opportunity.
