Assists with carpentry duties; demolishing structures, renovating rooms, office spaces and buildings; building custom cabinets, counters, benches, book cases, shelving, computer stands, work stations and miscellaneous wood related projects; repairing broken furniture; assembling new furniture; maintaining a woodworking shop; drawing rough drawings/blueprint plans for projects. Basic knowledge of the technical aspects of carpentry, assembly, mechanical, electrical and painting; thorough knowledge of the use of tools and equipment; thorough understanding of the functions of each of the assets and facilities; ability to diagnose problems without delay; ability to read and understand technical plans, instructions and overall direction; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and ability to carry out work assignments as directed.
