Knowledge Skills Abilities: Working knowledge of: the methods and procedures for operating a moderately complex central low pressure heating system, and the tools and materials used in servicing such equipment; applicable safety codes and regulations; general building maintenance procedures; and, PC graphics, spreadsheets, word processing and email sufficient to reach graphical displays of systems and equipment, to maintain equipment records and to report information to other school system agencies. This positon is responsible for operating, troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC equipment to maintain optimal IAQ conditions for the mission critical areas, such as Museum and Library spaces. Assists with the upkeep of buildings and performs preventative maintenance tasks, including changing air filters, tightening screws, greasing joints.

Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.
The position frequently requires work in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, near moving mechanical parts and includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and to vibration. Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual will at times work at elevated heights with moderate physical activity including, walking, climbing, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing facility improvement solutions, maintaining the operation (mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) of the building, oversight of subcontractors, lending expertise to cost estimates, performing routine inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment. Responsibilities will include: Performing a variety of maintenance duties involved in the repair and maintenance of buildings and facilities: Electrical: Changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and repairing ballast and light fixtures.
The Facility Maintenance Technician is a key member of the team primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of electrical plumbing HVAC mechanical equipment boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location. Do general repairs such as paining caulking patching walls security hardware roof repairs pavement repairs tile and floor repairs hanging shelves facility lighting and landscaping.
p>• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs • Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities • Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls • Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues • Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely. at a time • Can move up and down ladders frequently • Comfortable working at heights frequently • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time • Able to work in various temperatures • Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report • Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Assists in the make ready of vacated units including, but not limited to, painting, sanding, and varnishing, floor tile removal and replacement, ceramic tile replacement, dry wall repair, fixture repair and/or replacement, floor stripping, waxing, and polishing, window repair and/or replacement, etc., as will from time to time be required. Performs emergency maintenance, including but not limited to sewage back-ups, water main and/or lateral breaks (dig to expose line, repair, and replace soil as needed), fires, weather related damage, other types of water leaks, appliance repairs, etc.
